About Jerrod

Jerrod M. Maddox is a partner at Dunn Law, P.A. whose practice focuses on banking, bankruptcy litigation, and commercial litigation, with particular depth in creditors’ rights.

Jerrod has represented bank and private equity clients in Chapter 11, Chapter 7, and Chapter 13 proceedings, and creditor clients in state and federal courts in Florida and Alabama. He came to the firm from Jones Walker LLP, and began his career with a two-year clerkship for the Honorable William R. Sawyer, Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the Middle District of Alabama, an inside view of the bench that still shapes how he builds a record.

Jerrod recently served as pro bono counsel in a state-court criminal resentencing under Graham v. Florida, 560 U.S. 48 (2010), securing a reduced sentence for a defendant previously sentenced to life without parole for offenses committed as a minor.

And so there is no confusion: despite earning his law degree from Alabama, Jerrod was raised and remains a lifelong Auburn fan.
